Made up of four separate village-resorts generally known by their altitude in metres, this outstanding resort offers something for everyone. The mountain road winds up from Le Praz (1300), the quaintest village, past 1550, through 1650 to 1850. The ski resort of Courchevel 1850 is probably the most cosmopolitan of the four villages in the Trois Vallees and certainly one of the top luxury resorts in the world.  Smart, sophisticated and expensive, with excellent restaurants, shops and bars, Courchevel 1850 is the snowy playground of the rich and famous. Courchevel 1650 is quieter, with an old village centre, lively bars and quietly situated chalets. The lift system covers both sides of the valley and the world's largest cable car, heading up to La Saulire, connects Courchevel to the rest of the 3 Valley ski area.

Apres ski activities in Courchevel include hot air ballooning trip, skidoo trips, parapenting, massage, bowling, ice skating, ice go-karting, tobogganing, rafting down the Olympic ski jump in Le Praz or sky diving over the mountains. There are also some great events to watch out for including the New Years Eve party on the piste and the renowned Courchevel freeride event.
